Helios is the first annual simultaneous release that the Linux Tools project has participated in and we are excited to join the 38 other projects in this release consisting of 33 million lines of code. The new and noteworthy items from our previous point releases have been combined to give new users a good feel for what our project offers.

2010 also marks the debut of an all-in-one IDE release for C/C++ Linux Developers. This is a combination of the Eclipse Platform, the Eclipse CDT (C/C++ tooling), Eclipse Mylyn (task tracking features and more including Bugzilla integration), and the Linux Tools project’s functionality. It’s now very easy to get everything you need to develop C/C++ applications on Linux by downloading, extracting, and launching this self-contained package:

Thanks to all Linux Tools committers and contributors for making this release possible. We look forward to community feedback and future releases.
